Tibles - you know, like Collectibles - is a blockchain-enabled NFT collectibles ecosystem on a mission to make digital collecting as authentic and fulfilling as physical collecting. Built by a team with over 10 years of experience in digital collectible services, Tibles is focused on developing consumer-friendly, innovative and entertaining mobile apps that echo the social, trading, and identity-expressing dynamics of real-world collecting. The company is turbo-charged by already existing relationships with major IP-owners - for example, our first app, Seussibles, is powered by a partnership with Dr Seuss Enterprises - and we’re backed by some of the top investors in the blockchain space, including Dapper Labs (the company behind NBA Top Shot and the Flow blockchain), Multicoin Capital, CoinFund and Warburg Serres. We’ve raised over $4m in investment capital, including a $3m Seed round in December 2021.

We are now expanding our partnerships team, and looking for a Head of Business Development.  This is a unique opportunity to join a well-positioned, fast growing startup on the ground floor, and be a key part of delivering our strategy of working with well-known entertainment properties to super-serve their passionate fans with engaging NFT-based digital collectibles apps and websites.  You will lead our partnership strategy, identifying top prospects, negotiating strategic partnerships with major rights owners, and managing ongoing partnership relationships. As the first fully dedicated member of a growing team, you’ll shape hiring plans and processes to set us up for scaling.  You’ll also develop significant experience in web3 and NFTs, the fastest growing areas of tech and the basis for massive future upheavals in media, entertainment and information.

Job responsibilities include:

Build partnership strategy for Tibles, developing a roadmap for pop & geek culture genre areas to pursue, and identifying extensive prospect lists of potential IP partners. 

Pursue and close 5-10 business development deals per year with major rights owners, covering relationship building, deal prospecting, deal negotiation and closing, and partner management.

Temporarily own account management for established partners, eventually leading to scoping, hiring and managing dedicated AMs.

Project management to plan timelines, ensure projects hit milestones, and align with partner project timetables.  Track key milestones, assets and deliverables against the broader partnership and product roadmaps.

Longer-term, help design business plan and partnership template for 3rd party developers and entertainment companies wanting to leverage Tibles platform tools.

Effectively work with a small team of experienced producers, product managers and software engineers in a fast paced environment, moving around multiple projects as needed.

Ideal skill set

5-10 years of business development professional experience working across tech, entertainment and/or media industries, with proven track record of identifying, closing and managing successful partnerships.  Ideal candidate will have worked in business development for a tech company, building deals with traditional entertainment players.  

Deep network across media, entertainment and tech to leverage in pursuing and building partnerships with major rights owners. 

Strong expertise in entertainment industry dynamics and insight on the potential of NFT / web3 technologies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong collaborator with internal colleagues.

Passion and curiosity about NFTs and/or digital collectibles.
