What we’re looking for:

This Director of Business Operations role will help accelerate the velocity and success of business initiatives and teams across Joyride studios. The role will lead high-priority cross-segment and cross-functional initiatives in service to our most critical business priorities and “Big Bet” company priorities ranging from company building, business development, partner management, finance, growth, business development, and operations. The right candidate will be a well-rounded and strategic thinker, have deep capability in driving operational rigor, be a boundaryless leader looking for creative ways to overcome challenges, and serve as a talent steward and culture leader for the company. The right candidate will be highly motivated to succeed, have an excellent generalist background in business, with excellent people, creative, and business judgment. Backgrounds in private equity, finance, and management consulting are all appropriate with a commitment to an operational transition and ownership.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop in-depth understanding for what drives ecosystem product and business performance, customer engagement and growth, and leverage insights to shape future direction.
  • Lead day to day business operations of the organization including talent recruiting, team building, and cultural leadership. Work in close collaboration with the leadership team to deliver the plans, identifying and prioritizing growth opportunities and risks.
  • Build strong relationships and lead through influence with leaders of teams across the ecosystem and company. Serve as the connective tissue across functions, business units, and customer segments, bringing teams together to foster collaboration, improve decision-making, and maximize opportunities to deliver breakthrough value for customers, end to end.
  • Build & drive the x-functional team operating rhythm driving rigor to enable scale, working across all segments and markets.
  • Surface and help attack complex, cross-functional high-priority problems or ecosystem initiatives through hands-on engagement and building capability.

The minimum qualifications:

  • 5+ years in product management, management consulting, finance, business or product portfolio management, or an operations role in the technology industry
  • Proven experience ensuring growth and revenue goals are achieved through the balancing of both short and long term strategy
  • Excellent leadership skills. Comfortable working in ambiguity and demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment and ability to both influence and develop strong partnerships at all levels
  • Solutions-oriented, with a track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions
  • Strong coach and experience in building high performing organizations
  • Experience driving large-scale product or strategic initiatives
  • Strong business acumen, backed by a data-driven foundation
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, bias for action and a passion for delivering great customer experience
  • MBA from a top program desirable but not required; demonstrated record of mission-oriented passion and execution in personal and professional endeavors
