Genies is looking for an Operations Manager to join our Operations arm and act as the right arm to our Head of Operations role. As an Operations Manager, you will lead our PMO efforts and resources, manage processes to build alignment across various departments, partner in driving overall operations strategy and more. This is an opportunity to come in on the ground floor of Genies and specifically the Operations department. You’ll play a key role in our future evolution and help influence the effectiveness and efficiency of our operating model. The role will be looked to for identifying gaps, offering suggestions and executing solutions. Rolling your sleeves up and diving head first into problems motivates you, and you come to table with well thought and sound solutions. 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Will play a key role in building out and managing a true PMO for the company 
  • Leads a team Program and Project Managers to effectively support the business goals and vision
  • Works closely with departments across the company to ensure timelines and milestones are on track
  • Leads company wide communication efforts for major business updates and timelines
  • Manages a centralized location for all Program & Project Charters
  • Supports the Customer Support and additional operations teams from a Operational leadership perspective
  • Works closely with each operational team member on their growth plans and helps them achieve their short- and long-term goals
  • Ensures that the operational team processes are documented and always up to date
  • Utilizes an analytical mindset to identify operational efficiency opportunities
  • Motivates all departments to become self-managing and self-sufficient teams
  • Present new ideas, processes, and techniques for evaluation and implementation
  • Helps produce alignment via stakeholder management and business meeting structure across the board
  • Strategizes for and implements company wide tools and resources
  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Optimizes internal communication channels
  • Partners with Head of Operations to manage the company wide OKR system
  • Expectations are not limited to the above and will evolve over time due to business needs

What You Should Have: 

  • Proven work experience as Operations Manager, Program Management or similar role
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership ability and mentality 
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Experience working in or leading a PMO preferred
  • 3-5 years of project or program management experience
  • People Management experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
  • Have a team mindset and the right attitude
  • Experience implementing new systems and/or tools to a team
  • High detail oriented/proactive/self-directed
  • Ability to deliver results on time and to the Genies standards
  • Ability to manage, communicate, and document operational processes effectively
  • Strong knowledge and subject matter expertise of all business goals and processes
  • Solution forward mindset
  • Out of the box thinking to achieve required outcomes
  • A high standard of attention to detail and ‘follow-through’
